Key Responsibilities
- Rock Breaking Techniques: Learn the fundamentals of rock breaking techniques and essential safety protocols.
- Equipment Operation: Operate rock breaking equipment under the supervision of experienced miners.
- Assist Experienced Miners: Support skilled miners in various tasks, gaining hands-on experience.
- Classroom Instruction: Participate in classroom instruction and complete assessments to enhance your knowledge.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Grade 9 or equivalent NQF Level 1 Educational Certificate.
- Academic Requirements: Passes in Mathematics and English Communication are essential.
- Medical Fitness: Must be declared medically fit for the position.
- Experience: Previous mining experience is preferred but not required.
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn are vital.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
