Role Overview

As a Call Center Agent, you will be instrumental in providing support to students, staff, and the public, assisting them with inquiries related to university processes, programs, and more. You’ll be the friendly voice on the line, delivering accurate information and guidance to callers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Information Assistance: Respond to inquiries regarding entrance requirements, available programs, and application statuses.
  • Guidance for Applicants: Help applicants navigate the online acceptance process efficiently.
  • Referral Management: Direct complex inquiries to the appropriate departments, such as College Offices or Student Fees.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute positively to a supportive and dynamic team environment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Student Status: Must be a current final-year or postgraduate student at UKZN in good academic standing.
  • University Knowledge: Strong understanding of university processes and structures.
  • Communication Proficiency: Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in the MS Office suite and MS Teams.
  • Experience: Previous call center experience is preferred but not essential.
